ASPHER Working Group on Ethics and Values in Schools of Public Health, Public Health Policy and Practice
Mission: The Working Group is dedicated to issues related to ethics and values in Schools of Public Health to devise an ethical framework for public health teaching/practice and promote its adoption by ASPHER and members of ASPHER.

Aims and Objectives:
At the meeting in Rennes, on May 28/29, The group acknowledged that the driving agenda (and specific activities) of the group will address ethical issues in public heath practice and the learning and teaching of ethics in PH training in Europe. A wider agenda shall be developed in future meetings. Members of the Steering Committee agreed to meet in Brussels in September/October to start defining such working agenda.
Proposed activities:
(progress to be evaluated at the meeting in Brussels in September/October):
1) To identify people interested in exploration of ethical issues in public health policy and practice
2) To identify people who teach ethics (at the member schools level)
3) To circulate a questionnaire aiming at setting up an inventory of existing courses
4) To launch the online platform/www for communication among members of the group
5) To work on curriculum model (2011: in depth analysis - publication)
