Deputy Head, Center for Public Health
Judit SIMON is a medical public health expert and health economist. Currently she is Head of the Department of Health Economics, Deputy Head of the Center for Public Health and Coordinator of the Public Health Doctoral Programme at the Medical University of Vienna. She additionally holds Visiting Professorships at the University of Oxford and Corvinus University Budapest.
She is Fellow through Distinction of the UK Faculty of Public Health (FPH) and co-chairs the Faculty’s Europe Special Interest Group. She is member of the EU's Advisory Committee on Public Health Emergencies (ACPHE) and sits on the executive boards of ASPHER, the Austrian Medical Society for Public Health, the Public Health Service (ÖFGPHÖGD), the Austrian Health Economics Association (ATHEA), and the ISPOR Austria Chapter. Further, she is scientific advisor to the Austrian National Public Health Institute (GÖG) and Statistics Austria.
