This is Public Health Campaign

In 2008, the This Is Public Health® (TIPH) was launched on social media by the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH). The aim of the campaign was to raise awareness about the field of public health and the range of professions that are encompossed within the field.

In 2019, ASPPH partnered with ASPHER to launch the pilot project, TIPH Europe, which aimed to enhance the visibility of public health across Europe. As a result of the project, multiple innovative educational campaigns and resources were created.

Following the success of TIPH Europe, ASPPH expanded the effort globally under partnership with the Global Network for Academic Public Health (GNAPH) in 2020. The goal of the Global Network is to enhance academic public health worldwide through mutual learning and collaborations. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, there is increased awareness of the underlying issues that affect public health and the need for partnerships as a global community to combat threats to public health. TIPH encapsulates this view and broadens the scope of global collaboration in public health.

Cohort One: 2021 - 2022

The first cohort of the TIPH Global campaign saw 20 awardees selected to represent TIPH, their regional association, and the Global Network. The 20 awardee institutions represent 18 countries from around the world and their projects focus on a range of public health issues from antibiotic resistance to mental health to water and sanitation hygiene.
