In French. 4th Annual Meeting of the JRP Healthcare Infrastructures Platform coordinated by the Design & Health Lab at Politechnic of Milan The 4th Annual Meeting of the JRP Healthcare Infrastructures Platform of the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, coordinated by Stefano Capolongo and the Design & Health Lab was held on 24 February in Milan. The event brought together 200 participants from 48 partners to present results of research from institutions, universities, hospitals and industrial partners as part of a new phase of renovation of the Italian healthcare building stock. More than 40 new hospitals are now being planned or built around Italy, a historic step that requires new skills and innovative tools to design a new generation of healthcare infrastructure. WHO renews EASP designation as a Collaborating Centre The World Health Organization (WHO) has renewed the designation of the Andalusian School of Public Health (EASP), Spain, as a Collaborating Centre for Primary Health Care. Granted by the WHO Regional Office for Europe, the designation recognises the EASP’s technical, scientific and training capacity. It formalises a structured collaboration for the period 2025–2029, with specific terms of reference and a defined work plan. Read more here. WHO is organising a Global Forum of WHO Collaborating Centres bringing together experts from hundreds of institutions designated as WHO Collaborating Centres across more than 80 countries. Europubhealth+ 20th Anniversary - Consortium Universities in Granada The Europubhealth+ international consortium, which this year celebrates 20 years of uninterrupted collaboration in excellence training in public health came together in Granada Spain for a meeting hosted by the Andalusian School of Public Health (EASP). The meeting brought together academic and management leads from all partner institutions across Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Poland, the Netherlands, Ireland and Belgium to review the programme’s evolution, share teaching experiences and advance the strategic planning of future editions. NEW AND NOTEWORTHY Migration and Public Health - EU Strategy and ASPHER’s new Task Force The European Commission has adopted the first European Asylum and Migration Management Strategy. The Strategy sets out the EU’s political objectives on asylum and migration, with concrete priorities for the next five years. The newly adopted Strategy emphasises the commitment and ongoing work to put in place an EU framework that is fair and firm, and that effectively manages migration together with partner countries, while remaining true to European values. The lecture examines the transformation of scientific publishing, from traditional, publisher-controlled subscription models to the growing dominance of Open Access. Evidence to Trust – Public Health Communication and the Role of Epidemiology in Global Health 20 to 24 July 2026 at the campus of Paracelsus Medical Private University in Salzburg, Austria. The summer school brings together early-career public health students and researchers, mid-career professionals in public health institutions, as well as medical and pharmacy students with a strong interest in global health. By integrating epidemiological expertise with strategic communication and stakeholder engagement, the program equips participants to critically assess evidence, translate knowledge into action, and design solutions that foster trust and sustainable public health impact. Through methodological training, strategic communication, and real-world case discussions, the summer school provides a platform for networking, capacity building, and professional development. It supports participants in strengthening their leadership, critical thinking, and policy-shaping competencies within a global health context. The Summer School will therefore also provide an excellent opportunity to establish professional networks and initiate future collaborations. The partners of the Care4Health project have launched a comprehensive online educational programme designed to address key contemporary challenges in healthcare. The programme is intended primarily for graduate nurses and other graduate health professionals who wish to update and expand their knowledge in a flexible, accessible and time‑efficient way. The free educational program is designed to enable learning about the basics of contemporary healthcare challenges in the Moodle online environment. The program consists of four topics: Evidence-based practice in the nursing contextDigital safety and cybersecurity in healthcareCommunication and collaborationGreen health and environmental protection. Each topic is presented through a series of presentations, interactive videos and other activities and concludes with a short quiz. The Andalusian School of Public Health (EASP), hosted in Granada the working meeting of the universities that make up the Europubhealth+ international consortium, which this year celebrates 20 years of uninterrupted collaboration in excellence training in public health. Together with the University of Granada (UGR), the EASP delivers a European master’s degree recognised by the Erasmus+ label of the European Commission, renewed in 2023 for four further editions. The meeting brings together academic and management leads from all partner institutions across Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Poland, the Netherlands, Ireland and Belgium. Over three working days, they review the programme’s evolution, share teaching experiences and advance the strategic planning of future editions. The central session included an institutional welcome from the EASP’s managing director, Blanca R. Botello, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the UGR, José Alberto Castañeda, and the academic coordinator of Europubhealth+ in Granada, Ariane Bauernfeind. The consortium highlighted the master’s integration of teaching, research and professional practice, its double-degree structure across two universities, and the possibility of specialising in seven areas while studying and living in at least two European countries. Since 2006, Europubhealth+ has been the only joint public health master’s in the EU with the Erasmus+ excellence label and has been repeatedly recognised among Spain’s top master’s programmes, thanks to its innovative curriculum, international faculty and strong graduate employability.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has renewed the designation of the Andalusian School of Public Health (EASP) as a Collaborating Centre for Primary Health Care. Andalusia’s Minister for Health, Presidency and Emergencies, Antonio Sanz, congratulated the entire EASP team, describing the renewal as “a new endorsement” for Granada’s candidacy to host Spain’s future State Public Health Agency. Granted by the WHO Regional Office for Europe, the designation recognises the EASP’s technical, scientific and training capacity. It formalises a structured collaboration for the period 2025–2029, with specific terms of reference and a defined work plan. Through this role, the EASP continues to contribute to the international network of WHO Collaborating Centres. As a Collaborating Centre, the EASP will support the development, implementation and dissemination of Primary Health Care policies, provide technical advice and knowledge transfer to WHO, and produce reports, training activities and technical materials to strengthen Primary Health Care worldwide. Sanz stressed that being a Collaborating Centre is both an institutional mark of excellence and a formal responsibility to help reinforce Primary Health Care in health systems globally, under WHO leadership. The EASP is the only WHO Collaborating Centre in Andalusia, one of 11 in Spain and part of a network of over 800 worldwide.

Rooted in inherent human dignity, HRPC complements bioethics, focusing on systemic issues and the role of the state and bringing procedures for accountability and enforcement.
