Welcome to the ASPHER Simulation Working Group.
Many areas of medical, nursing, health and social care have used simulation-based education to support training of students both in relation to situations and skills. There is a growing desire to ensure students across all types of Public Health education and training can gain related practical skills; this can be facilitated through placements or simulation-based activities.
Our Aim: to feed into other working groups within ASPHER, allowing collaborative learning, sharing of materials across member schools, leading to joint bids and proposals for development and future research.
Objectives:
1. To explore the use of simulation within public health and how it can support training and professionalisation agendas
2. To share simulation practices and develop cross-country scenarios and resources, which can be utilised by ASPHER member schools and will become a repository for members
3. To develop research around simulation within Public Health
We meet bi-monthly via MS Teams to collaborate and share best practice.
