Steven A. Matarelli, PhD RN FABC is Vice President for Clinical Affairs and Special Projects for Medpoint Asia, serving in the capacity of Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Quality Officer for Guangzhou R&F Hospital, Guangzhou China.

Formerly, Dr. Matarelli worked as a Sr. Clinical Executive for Vocera Communications - Middle East & United Kingdom and as Field Director and Nurse Surveyor for Joint Commission International. Prior to joining Joint Commission, Dr. Matarelli worked for Johns Hopkins Medicine International in the role of Chief Operating Officer/Chief Clinical Officer of Tawam Hospital, United Arab Emirates.

A graduate of the Johnson & Johnson Wharton Fellows Program in Management for Nurse Executives and a Fellow of the Healthcare Advisory Board, Dr. Matarelli is a highly experienced national and international speakers in the United States, Middle East, and Asia on topics of nursing care, hospital operations, patient safety, research, and "theory-into-practice “for healthcare providers, community organizations, and academic settings. His 37 years of healthcare experience has spanned bedside nursing, clinical and executive operations, academia, research, and industry.
