University of Nicosia Medical School - Faculty Position In Epidemiology and Public Health

The Department of Primary Care and Population Health of the University of Nicosia Medical School is one of the two departments of the University of Nicosia Medical School. The Department is continuously expanding in the areas of education, research and clinical service provision. It currently delivers three postgraduate programmes: the MSc in Family Medicine, the Master of Public Health (MPH) and the Master in Health Services Administration. It also participates through the MPH in the delivery of the Erasmus Mundus MPH in Disasters Programme jointly with the University of Oviedo Spain and Karolinska Institute Sweden. The department is active in research with international collaborations and has recently developed a Primary Care centre for the delivery of quality health care services to the people of Cyprus.

The Department of Primary Care and Population Health works closely with the Department of Basic and Clinical Sciences of the University of Nicosia Medical School and supports the delivery of two undergraduate medical programmes: the MBBS graduate-entry programme of St George’s University of London and the MD programme of the University of Nicosia.

The position

We are currently seeking a highly motivated faculty member with relevant academic qualifications and research experience in the field of Epidemiology and/or Public Health to undertake teaching and research.  Interested candidates can apply for ANY RANK.

  • PhD (in the field of Epidemiology and/or Public Health)
  • Teaching Experience
  • Research experience
  • Publication record
