Statement: Waive Vaccine Intellectual Property Rights
Global Network for Academic Public (GNAPH) and World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA) Joint Statement:
Waive Vaccine Intellectual Property Rights Now!
Vaccine equity means a fair distribution of vaccine, so that all countries can immunise their populations.
There must be a Trade-Related Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) waiver now and change in the future intellectual property environment for all current and future SARS-CoV-2 vaccines.
The Vaccine Waiver statement has been sent in a letter to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in advance of its Minsterial Conference.

Declaration: Global governance for health
Global Network for Academic Health Declaration:
Global governance for improved human, animal, and planetary health: the essential role of schools and programs of public health
Schools and programs of public health have a crucial role in the current pandemic and in developing standards and competence for better public health as well as the public health knowledge and skills shown by the pandemic to be in need of massive expansion.
We hope our member schools and programs of public health will use the declaration in their evidence to national governments, and health and education ministries, to make the case for enhanced public health education.
