Brexiting Health by John Middleton in BMJ Opinion
22 Jan 2020

ASPHER's President John Middleton has published an Opinion Piece entitled 'Brexiting health—the UK will miss out on prosperity, public health and planetary health' in the BMJ Opinion blog.

In the article, he lays out the important European Initiatives introduced by the von der Leyen Commision's proposals to tackle problems of population and planetary health through the Green Deal for Europe and commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

By not addressing these issues and turning away from the European Agenda, the United Kingdom government is setting the country up to miss out on prosperity, public health and planetary health.
